29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Building 620, Duncan Hall, Recruit Chow Hall: Employees were working on the roof performing routine maintenance on an air handler vent fan and were in the immediate vicinity of an unguarded/unprotected skylight which was approximately 20 feet to a lower level. A site/task specific hazard assessment was not conducted to determine the hazards associated with working on the roof and skylights. Employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards.
