29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a-#68 Lindbergh Parkway, Waldwick NJ (Residential Roof): CSHO observed employees engaged in roofing activities on a 8 on 12 pitched roof in which a portable aluminum extension ladder was used to access and egress from the roof whose side rails did not extend 3ft above the upper landing surface exposing the employees to fall hazards of approximately 15ft to the asphalt below. Condition noted on or about 06/17/2021.
