29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft ends did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: (a) Wareroom - A motor, 14.5 inches above the work platform, for the inspection conveyor on the 1D Packer, near the operator control station, had an unguarded shaft end that projected 2 inches, exposing employees to a caught-in rotating parts hazard, on or about May 21, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
