29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv):Flexible cords and/ or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) through (F) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(a): a) Powerhouse - On or about March 31, 2021, a flexible extension cord was placed through a hole in the wall and used as a means of fixed wiring to provide power to computer equipment, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. b) Powerhouse - On or about March 31, 2021, a flexible cord was used as a substitute for fixed wiring to energize a 120V SIMPLX packaged pump set (model: SPS-20). The flexible cord was painted with white paint and placed behind metal brackets attached to the wall and through holes in the ceiling area, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. c) Fabrication Shop - On or about March 31, 2021, a flexible cord of a LumaPro 50 ft. tri-tap cord reel (model 6YF68) was used as a substitute for fixed wiring to energize lighting, battery charging station, and powered hand tools. The flexible cord was placed through and concealed in a wall and door opening. These conditions exposed employees to electrical and fire hazards. d) Fabrication Shop - On or about March 31, 2021, a flexible red extension cord was used as a substitute for fixed wiring to energize a refrigerator. The extension cord was attached to the walls with metal bracing and nails, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards.
