29 CFR 1926.602(b)(3):Safety requirements, ratios, or limitations applicable to machines or attachment usage covered in Power Crane and Shovel Associations Standards No. 1 and No. 2 of 1968, and No. 3 of 1969 were not complied with: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards associated with performing demolition. On or about November 4, 2020 employees were exposed to a struck by hazard while demolishing a bridge located at 17497 S Burnett School Road in Ashland, Missouri. An employee was using a CAT 320 excavator to demolish the bridge and the employer did not provide work rules/policies as they relate to working around the CAT 320 excavator thus allowing an employee to work within the swing radius/zone of operation.
