29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Production Floor - An Uzay Makina Model SY330LG (Serial Number 13092000) band saw was used without guarding all portions of the saw blade except for the working portion of the blade between the bottom of the guide rolls and the table exposing the employees to laceration and amputation hazards. (b) Production Floor - An unknown make, model, or serial number hydraulic press was used without guarding to protect employees from the point of operation exposing them to caught-in, struck-by, and amputation hazards.
