29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). Snake Creek Water Treatment Plant located at 1162 Crossplains Hulett Road Carrolton, GA 30116, Excavation behind office building: On or about 08/27/2020, the employer exposed employees to cave-in/struck-by hazards while working inside an excavation which was approximately 10-feet deep, in that a cave-in protection system was not provided to employees engaged in sewer pipe installation activities.
