29 CFR 1926.1404(q): Outriggers and Stabilizers. When the load to be handled and the operating radius require the use of outriggers or stabilizers, or at any time when outriggers or stabilizers are used, all of the following requirements were not met when outriggers or stabilizers were used or when such use was required. On or about July 16, 2020 at 4630 Chambers Road in Macon, Georgia, employees making repairs to a suspended sign with a crane were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that all of the outriggers and stabilizers were not fully extended and being used.
