Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2): The employer did not provide employees with effective information on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. Employees were not informed of the following: the requirements of this section; any operations in their work area where hazardous chemicals are present; and, the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, including the required list(s) of hazardous chemicals, and safety data sheets as required by this section. On or about 6/16/2020, at the jobsite located at 100 SE 2nd St. Miami, FL, 33131, janitorial employees were not provided with information before accessing a work area being disinfected with Clorox Total 360, which exposed employees to a chemical hazard.
