Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1): The employer did not provide training for each employee who used personal fall protection systems or who was required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart before the employees were exposed to a fall hazard: (a) On or about 4/22/2020 - Southern side of trailer yard and west of main office (a.k.a. "the hill"), employees were exposed to falls of approximately 80 inches (6' 8") to a hard packed dirt and gravel surface when they worked from the top of the engine compartment of a CAT Model 320B Excavator to replace the alternator and had not received fall protection training prior to performing such work.
