29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Location: 396 Summit Ave, Jersey City. On or about 12/26/19; a) Employee were exposed to a potential fall hazard of approximately 40 ft. to the ground below as fall protection methods were not used during framing/roofing operations at an unprotected edge of the building. b) Employees were exposed to a potential fall hazard of approximately 25 ft. to the ground below as there were missing guardrail sections at the work area were employees were working.
