29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: At the residential construction site located at 512 Killarney Lane, Blue Springs, Missouri: Employees were accessing a working surface on a pitched roof by way of a portable ladder whose side rails did not extend 36 inches above the upper landing surface being accessed. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1315674, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on October 10, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at_ 2025 Liggett Rd, Blue Springs, Missouri. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1356632, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on November 21, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1267 W. 64th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
