29 CFR 1926.1207(a): The employer did not provide training to each employee whose work is regulated by this standard, at no cost to the employee, and did not ensure that the employee possessed the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of duties assigned under this standard. a) Elevator running platform, elevator #1: Employees worked from a temporary elevator platform applied fireproofing materials to the walls of the shaft. Employees moved up and down the shaft. The employer did not provide training to each employee to ensure that the employee possessed the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of duties in a confined space or a permit required confined space.
