29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(2)(ii)(A): The employer did not train each employee with occupational exposure at the time of the initial assignment to tasks where occupational exposure may take place. On or about October 12, 2019, employees received an occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) while assisting an employee and cleaning droplets of blood following a work-related injury on the South Wolfking Grinder in the Blending Department inside Plant 2. The employer did not ensure employees were trained prior to their initial assignments where an occupation exposure would take place. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
