29 CFR 1910.119(f)(4): The employer did not develop and implement safe work practices to provide for the control of hazards during operations in the M-910 igniter process and clean-up. a) Plant - On or about 07/15/19 and at times prior thereto, the M-910 igniter production and clean-up operations were conducted outdoors, and the employer did not ensure that controlled conditions of temperature and humidity were maintained for high energy, sensitive materials. b) Plant - On or about 07/15/19 and at times prior thereto, the M-910 igniter production and clean-up operations were conducted outdoors, and high energy sensitive materials in production quantities were transported by hand from the mixer to the processing table, and from the processing table to the grinder/separator. c) Plant - On or about 07/15/19 and at times prior thereto, the igniter/tracer production and clean-up operations were conducted outdoors. The work table that supported the high energy, sensitive materials was damaged and unstable. d) Plant - On or about 07/15/19 and at times prior thereto, the M-910 igniter production and clean-up operations were conducted outdoors. The floor surfaces in the work area were not maintained in smooth condition in order to prevent accumulation and facilitate the removal of hazardous materials. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
