Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards associated with the operation of powered industrial trucks. This was most recently evident during the inspection conducted on July 30, 2019 at a worksite located at 8901 Irvington Rd, Omaha, NE 68122. One of the powered industrial vehicles that is used to move materials inside the building was defective and unsafe due to the non-slip rubber pad missing from the inching brake pedal.
