29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: On or about February 25, 2019, the employer failed to ensure that employees operating the Cosen band saw (Saw #01) were trained in the purpose and function of the lock out tag out procedure. Employees who were not trained are performing tasks such as but not limited to blade change outs without the saw being locked and tagged out. Employees are exposed to hazards such as but not limited to point of operation and moving parts. -
