29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to provide and insure the usage of "point of operation guards" or properly applied and adjusted point of operation devices on every operation performed on a mechanical power press. See Table O-10. (a) On or about July 15, 2019, the Minster #121 (G2-150-72-30) mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned next to press during operation exposing employees to crushing hazards. (b) On or about the week of July 8, 2019, the Minister 7 #101 mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned next to the press during operation exposing employees to crushing hazards. (c) In the Plating Department, the Minister 6 #508 mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned within reach of the point of operation exposing employees to crushing hazards. (d) In the Plating Department, the Minister G2-150-72-30 #119 mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned next to the press during operation exposing employees to crushing hazards. (e) In the Plating Department, the Minister 7 #511 mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned next to the press during operation exposing employees to crushing hazards. (f) In the Plating Department, the Minister G2-100-48-27 #120 mechanical press had the two hand controls positioned next to the press during operation exposing employees to crushing hazards.
