29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Building 247, Roof: On or about 01/16/2019, employees and subcontractors were not provided with fall protection while on the roof with an unguarded parapet as a result employees were exposed to an approximate 30 and 40 feet fall hazard. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
