Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards. This was most recently documented on November 6, 2018 at the jobsite located at 5699 Indian Trace Road, Osage Beach when the employer failed to ensure or require overhead lines be deenergized, grounded, or other protective measures were in place to protect employees from electrocution. An employee was electrocuted when equipment he was working around came into close proximity of a 7200 volt overhead power line.
