29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person had been performed prior to permitting employee(s) to start demolition operations: a) On or about October 29, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that an engineering survey was performed by a competent person to determine the condition and possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure, before allowing employees to conduct demolition activities, to include removal of roofing material while walking and working on the roof of a building damaged by hurricane wind forces.
