1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service. Such examination was not made at least daily. On 9/17/2018, Express Granite, LLC was operating a Caterpillar Model GC25K Forklift which had not been examined daily. The Caterpillar Forklift had defects identified but was not removed from service. 1.) Seatbelt was not present on the forklift. 2.) The backup alarm was intermittent because the wires had a poor connection or short. 3.) Plywood was zip tied to the overhead guard obscuring the drivers visibility when picking up loads.
