29 CFR 1910.179(n)(2)(ii): The load was not attached to the load block hook by means of slings or other approved devices: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by and caught between hazards associated with securing the load. This was most recently documented on or about 10/02/18 at the Well Watch, LLC facility located at 13937 Hwy 283, Ness City, Kansas 67560. Employees were using an unapproved Bessey clamp and metal chain in lieu of slings, chains, or other devices approved for such use to lift the load.
