29 CFR 1910.1052(e)(1): The employer did not establish a regulated area wherever an employee's exposure to airborne concentrations of methylene chloride exceeded or could reasonably be expected to exceed either the 8-hour Time Weighted Average Permissible Exposure Limit or the Short Term Exposure Limit: a) Spraying Area - An employee was exposed to Techno adhesive containing 70% methylene chloride at an exposure level of 346.3533 ppm, which was 2.771 times above the short term exposure level (STEL) of 125 ppm and was taken for 15 minutes, and no regulated area was established, on or about November 20, 2018. b) Spraying Area - An employee was exposed to Techno adhesive containing 70% methylene chloride at an exposure level of 314.7997 ppm, which was 2.518 times above the short term exposure level (STEL) of 125 ppm and was taken for 17 minutes, and no regulated area was established, on or about November 20, 2018.
