29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Big Plant; on or about August 30, 2018, guarding was insufficient to prevent the operators' hands from being exposed to the blade on the CO Madison Moulder 226, S/N 17270. (b) Big Plant; on or about August 30, 2018, the guard of the CO Weinig Moulder, S/N H22AL was removed while being operated. (c) Shop; on or about August 30, 2018, the Walker Turner Drill Press, S/N 52E363 did not have a guard. NOTE: Abatement certification AND documentation are required for this item.
