Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes were not available for immediate emergency use. (a) Pool shed - On or about August 7, 2018 employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to sodium hypochlorite, 12.5% for which the employer did not provided them with an eyewash station. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees exposed to injurious corrosive materials are provided with suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body within the work area for immediate emergency use.
