29 CFR 1910.213(b)(5): On each machine operated by electric motors, positive means was not provided for rendering such controls or devices inoperative while repairs or adjustments are being made to the machines they control. On or about July 24, 2018 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that a positive means to render controls or devices inoperative, while an employee exchanged the blade on a planer, was provided. This exposed the employees to amputation hazards.
