Employee training shall include at least: The physical, health, simple asphyxiation, combustible dust, and pyrophoric gas hazards, as well as hazards not otherwise classified, of the chemicals in the work area: a) On or about July 31, 2018, employees handling Magnesium Powder had not been trained on the hazards associated with its flammability characteristics to readily ignite in the presence of any spark or flame, water and Magnesium Powder creates Hydrogen gas, and ignited Magnesium Powder can only extinguished by smothering and allowing it to cool.
