29 CFR 1910.25(b)(5)(i): When a door or gate opens directly on a stairway, a platform was not provided and/or the platform did not provide a useable depth greater or equal to 20 inches. On or about May 5, 2018 at Jacques - Imo Café, LLC the service entrance door opened directly onto the stairway. The stairway was not equipped with a platform. Employees used the service entrance as a quick cut through for the dining area next door, walk in cooler, trash disposal and cooking oil dispenser. This condition exposed employees to a potential fall hazard.
