Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(ii): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 °F (37.8 °C), shall not be dispensed into containers unless the nozzle and container are electrically interconnected. In the flammable storage area employees dispensing products such as, but not limited to isopropyl alcohol into transfer containers without electrical interconnection between the dispensing nozzle and the container. Employees were potentially exposed to a smoke inhalation and burn hazard.
