29 CFR 1926.1101(e)(1): All Class I, II, and III asbestos work was not conducted within regulated areas: a) On or about 4/22/2018 - 5/01/2018, in the 500 Area, employees performed Class I asbestos work by removing asbestos thermal system insulation (TSI) from existing pipes and then removed pipes with residual ACM from the ceiling with a sawzall too allowing ACM to accumulate on the floor. The employer did not establish a regulated area to minimize exposure to asbestos. b) On or about 4/22/2018 - 5/01/2018, in the 500 Area, employees performed Class II asbestos work by removing asbestos containing floor tiles (VAT) with the forks of a forklift. The employer did not establish a regulated area to minimize exposure to asbestos.
