29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by rotating parts. On or about 4/18/18 at the job site located in an open field one mile from the intersection of Cheatwood Road and Chandler Road, Ruston, Louisiana; the employer allowed employees to remove the metal grate and slides that cover augurs #1-3 on Unit #26142 Blender Hopper ( 48" wide by 30" deep by 100" long) to remove clumped-up sand, and the employees were exposed to the unguarded rotating #2 augur or screw.
