29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wear a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: Rig # 7. Worksite at 1-30 Wewoka, Seminole County, OK. On or about April 09, 2018, an employee working underneath a rod basket was not provided with protective helmet and exposed to struck-by hazards from falling objects and tools. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation describing the actions it is taking to establish, communicate, and implement policies for the protective helmet use for employees exposed to struck-by hazards.
