29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(ii): 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(ii): Stairways. The employer did not ensure each flight of stairs having at least 3 treads and at least 4 risers was equipped with stair rail systems and handrails per Table D-2; stair width less than 44 inches (1.1 m), and two open sides required to have one stair rail system on each open side: a) On the pic-line platform: On or about April 10, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fall hazards, in that handrails and stair rails were not installed on a 5-riser stairway located between pic lines where employees performed sorting activities.
