Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.243(b)(2): Airhose and hose connections used for conducting compressed air to utilization equipment was not designed for the pressure and service to which they were subjected. For the employees using compressed air hoses on or about March 22, 2018 and times prior there to the employer installed water clamps on compressed air hoses with a plant pressure of approximately 110 psig. This exposes employees to the hazard of uncontrolled release of compressed air and struck by whipping compressed air hose hazards.
