Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): All spraying areas were not kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary, and, scrapers, spuds, or other such tools used for cleaning purposes were not of non-sparking material: (a) PAINT SPRAY BUILDING - Employee(s) performed paint spraying operations on logging equipment parts, and there was an accumulation of paint residue on surfaces throughout the 40 foot by 50 foot spray room, including the wooden paint storage shelves, the non explosion-proof electrical equipment, the floor and walls, an industrial fan, and associated spraying equipment, on or about May 2, 2018. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
