29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The employer is failing to provide training to employees who utilize aerial lifts exposing them to the hazards associated with improper use of the lifts. This was most recently documented at 265 N. Showboat Boulevard, Hastings, Nebraska on or about January 25 through 26th, 2018 when the employer had employees working on the basket of a man lift without tying off. Employees are performing work from aerial lifts and have not received any form of training regarding their utilization.
