29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (Construction Reference 1926.103) (a) River Station Demolition Project, Downingtown, PA - On or about 1/17/18, the employer permitted employees with facial hair that interfered with the seal to wear tight-fitting half face air-purifying respirators such as 3M 6000 series air purifying respirators and N95 filtering facepiece air purifying respirators, while performing demolition activities.
