29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields. On or about December 5, 2017, in the structural department and the north barn, employer did not ensure welding screens were maintained in the welding stations and employees use appropriate goggles to protect them from the UV rays, while conducting welding operations and exposed employees to flash burns from exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
