29 CFR 1910.213(h)(1): The sides of the lower exposed portion of the blade of radial saw(s) were not guarded to the full diameter of the blade by a device that automatically adjusted itself to the thickness of the stock and remained in contact with the stock being cut to ensure maximum protection to the operator: a) Building 24 - The radial saw did not have a lower blade guard to protect employees during operations, exposing employees to amputation hazards, on or before December 1, 2017. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. --------------------------------------------------------------- AVD MODIFIED VIA ISA ON 6/21/18 a) Floor truss building #24 the Alpine Metra Cut radial arm saw did not have a lower blade guard to protect employees during operations, on or about Decemeber 1, 2017.
