29 CFR 1910.138(a): Employers did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts or lacerations, severe abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, and harmful temperature extremes: At 687 Fee Fee Road, Maryland Heights, MO, specifically inside of the Maintenance Department, employee(s) manually poured water into battery cells used to power fork trucks to include, but not limited to, the Yale Fork Truck, m/n ERP030TGN36TE082, s/n E807N04109Z. Employee(s) were provided with MICROFLEX Diamond Grip Powder-Free Latex Gloves, MF-300-XL. This type of glove is not suitable to protect against acid burns. This violation was observed on 05/25/17.
