Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by this standard, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more shall be guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures. On or about 08 May 2017, the employer failed to protect the employees when they allowed the electrical circuit panel enclosure doors to remain open. Control panel near machine #10, was open and allowed employees to gain access to the live electrical equipment. This exposed employees to an inadvertent electrical shock and fire hazard. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
