29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when: On or about 03/13/2017, at 2021 Tara Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA, employees were conducting sewer work in a trench approximately 6 feet deep with vertical walls and without a cave-in protective system for the employees. GRADY CRAWFORD CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH IS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION # 566838, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3 AND WAS AFFIRMED A FINAL ORDER ON 9/26/12, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT CORNER OF PREJEAN AND HWY 78, LIVONIA, LA.
