29 CFR 1910.307(c): Electrical equipment in hazardous (classified) locations is not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) locations: The employer does not ensure that equipment is intrinsically safe and approved for the hazardous location when employees are operating the screen print wash station, the back lighting was not approved for the Combustible Class II Liquid being used to wash the screens exposing employees to the hazards of flash fires. Polyvision Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.307(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1078749, Citation number 1, Item number 7b, and was affirmed as a final order on February 8, 2016 with a final abatement date of January 20, 2016, with respect to a workplace hazard at 4301 N. Wood Drive, Okmulgee, Oklahoma 74447. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that electrical equipment in hazardous locations is approved for that hazardous classification.
