29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. Located at the workplace: On or about March 1, 2017 and at times prior, employees were performing servicing and maintenance activities, such as, but not limited to, performing routine maintenance, repairs, unjamming, servicing, and cleaning on equipment in operation. The employer did not ensure that each employee performing the covered activities had received authorized lockout training.
