29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): The employer did not provide machine guarding to protect the operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by the point of operation, ingoing nip points, and rotating parts. On or about January 31, 2017 employees operating the following machines were exposed to rotating and in-going nip hazards while working near unguarded moving parts: a) Line 1 Matrix Finished Product Inclined Conveyor- Employees working in area had their fingers exposed to ingoing nip point(s) where the belt ran onto the end roller. b) Line 1 Packing Conveyor- Employees working in area had their fingers exposed to ingoing nip point(s) where the belt ran onto the end roller. c) Line 2 and 3 Peter's Machine Rotating Stencil Tube- Employees removing defective wafers from belt had their fingers and hands exposed to rotating equipment. d) Line 4 Oven Drive Drum Belt- Employees walking through aisle were exposed to ingoing nip point(s) where the belt ran onto the end roller.
