29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(ii): The employer did not document that equipment complies with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices: On or about January 19, 2017, at the Spoetzl Brewery located in Shiner, TX, the employer did not document that it complied with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice (RAGAGEP) when it did not: a. Install visual and audible alarms outside the engine room entrance doors according to RAGAGEP such as ANSI/ASHRAE -15 (American Society of Heating Refrigeration Air-Conditioning and Engineering) - 2007, section 8.11.2.1 exposing employees to the hazards of dangerous concentrations of ammonia following a release in the engine room. b. Install emergency switch to activate ventilation outside the engine room entrance doors according to RAGAGEP such as ANSI/ASHRAE-15 - 2007, section 8.12, exposing employees to the hazards of dangerous concentrations of ammonia following a release in the engine room. c. Install an eyewash and body shower outside of the engine room according to RAGAGEP such as ANSI/IIAR 2-1999, (International Institute Ammonia Refrigeration), section 6.3.1.4, exposing employees to the hazards of dangerous concentrations of ammonia. d. Equip engine room access doors with a tight-fitting seal according to RAGAGEP such as ANSI/IIAR 2-1999, section 6.3.1.5, exposing employees to hazards of dangerous concentrations of ammonia.
