Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(m)(2): No person shall be allowed to stand or pass under the elevated portion of any truck, whether loaded or empty. On or about 23 November 2016, the employer allowed the employees in powered industrial trucks to travel through the warehouse and work area with elevated loads of material. Employees in the area beneath elevated loads were exposed to struck-by hazards from falling material and/or crushed-by lowering equipment structure. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
