29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed a- 258 Gordon Road, Block 26.03, Lot 8, Robbinsville NJ: Company employees were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet to ground surface below, when using an aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend three feet above the upper landing surface of which it was resting. Condition observed on or about 05/24/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
