29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(ii): The employer did not document that equipment complies with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices: a) The employer did not document the existing Sulfur Dioxide Delivery System for the CB-22-1, CB-22-2, L-20, Large Redford Gas Box and Small Gas Box core making machines without pressure relief devices in pipe sections where liquid sulfur dioxide could become trapped between valves complied with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices. b) The employer did not document the existing Sulfur Dioxide Delivery System for the CB-22-1, CB-22-2, L-20, Large Redford Gas Box and Small Gas Box core making machines without monitoring systems to determine sulfur dioxide leaks and turn off the sulfur dioxide tank valve if a leak is detected complied with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices. c) The employer did not document the existing Sulfur Dioxide Delivery System for the CB-22-1, CB-22-2, L-20, Large Redford Gas Box and Small Gas Box core making machines without area sulfur dioxide monitoring to warn employees to take emergency actions or evacuate complied with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices.
